In most cases, you can find the seatpost size stamped or printed on your bicycle's current seatpost, towards the bottom of the seatpost.  This will require you to un-install your seatpost to check the size.  

You can also search online for your bicycle's make, model, and year, and the manufacturer's website may tell you what size (diameter) is needed.
