The answer is yes and no but more no than yes.
First, it depends on the bottom bracket you have:
If you have the Hellbender 110 bottom bracket then you should never have to worry about servicing the bearings-that's the beauty of this product. The XD-15 bearings are virtually immune to damage from dirt ingress and contamination and keep running smoothly through the worst of conditions. Plus, you have a lifetime warranty to the original owner if anything goes awry.
For the Hellbender 70 the bearings are "standard", Stainless Steel with marine grease and they are, technically, serviceable. To fully service the bearing you will want to pull the bearing from the cups using a bearing puller like the ones offered from Park Tool or Wheels MFG making sure to not damage the bearing during extraction. Once the bearing is removed from the cups you can carefully peal the seals from both sides of the bearings using a pick. Spray degreaser directly into both sides of the bearing to clean out the old grease. Then lay a bead of bike-specific grease into both sides of the bearing using a grease gun or syringe. Re-assemble the seals and press the bearing back into the cups.
Check out this video from our friends over at Enduro Bearings for a visual representation of this process.
Truthfully, the cost of materials to correctly service a bearing and the risk of damage in the process makes it a tricky and often hapless endeavor. However, If you have the materials, the know-how, and the energy then we say go for it!
Keep in mind that all of our Bottom Brackets use conventional bearing sizes and the bearings can be replaced when they eventually wear out. All of our Bottom Brackets use the 6806 bearing standard.
