Due to the mechanism design, the eeSilk stem is slightly taller than normal "road" stems. The stack height of the stem is 49mm. This means you will need at minimum 52mm of exposed steerer tube above the headset top cover to safely install the stem. If you need a few more millimeters to get down to your desired stack height, the eeSilk stem is Hellbender Slam compatible.
